ELANY Advises Brokers to Renew Licenses Soon

The Excess Line Association of New York is reminding all excess line brokers to renew their business entity licenses by Oct. 31. According to ELANY, the state Insurance Department is not mailing renewal license applications for 2010 license renewals. Participating brokers can, however, download the 2010-2012 excess line broker entity application by visiting the department’s Web site. A failure to renew the license, says ELANY, could result in delays in the processing of affidavits and excess line documentation after Nov. 1. For more information, read the full notice posted on the ELANY Web site.
