Saturday, 2/19/2011, was my 6th week at the Lee Strasberg institute of theater and film! We worked on many new things from poem reading to a new type of censory exercise.
Censory is when we have to act like we have an object or are doing an activity when don't have an object or aren't doing that specific activity.
In my first class of film after our warm up exercise which is vocal exercises and ways to relax, we worked on our pronunciation by reading over a poem. I read a poem by Robert Frost.
In my next class of Method we worked a new censory project. With this new exercise we had to act as if we were cooking something and then act as if we were eating it. I made brownies.
This week was the half way mark of the first session. So far I have learned about the method, how to break down and make better decisions with my script and ways to look better and feel more confident on film and during an audition.
